Last updated: 2026-10-16
(Google AdMob)
本アプリは、Googleの広告SDK(Google Mobile Ads / AdMob)を組み込んでいます。
- Google Mobile Ads(AdMob):
- Sign in with Apple:パーティ機能のサインイン。

Introduction
"Papakue" ("the App") turns your to-do items into game-like "quests." The features you use on your own (quests, calendar, completion records, notifications, widgets, etc.) need no account or sign-in. The quests you create and their completion records are stored only on your device and are never sent to the developer or any third-party server.
However, only when you use the "Party" feature (exchanging requests and party quests with family or friends), you sign in with Apple and the information needed for the party is stored on a server. If you do not use the party feature, there is no sign-in and nothing is sent for it. Below we explain what is stored, where, and why.
1. Information We Collect or Transmit
1-1. Features you use on your own (on your device only)
The App does not automatically collect or transmit the content of your quests (titles, notes, categories, completion records, the "note of the day," etc.). Everything is stored and processed in a database on your device.
1-2. When you use the Party feature (stored on a server)
- Account information: When you sign in with Apple, Apple provides an identifier that distinguishes you and, if you allow it, your name. The App uses the identifier and a display name shown to the other party members. The App does not request or store your email address.
- Party information: the party you belong to and its invite code (valid for 24 hours).
- Requests and party quests: titles, contents, due dates, status history, and thank-you stamps with a short message.
- Report and block records: records of reports and blocks you make (reports are read only by the operator; the other person is not told that you blocked them).
- A device identifier for push notifications (push token): to notify you of requests and similar events.
- Subscription status: whether you have a paid plan, its expiry, the product, and whether it is a free trial.
- Quests, the calendar, completion records, and the "note of the day" stay on your device even if you use the party feature. Only the requests and party quests you send are shared in the party.
1-3. Records kept for abuse prevention, even after account deletion
To prevent circumventing the free-send limit (3 in total) and brute-forcing invite codes, we keep an irreversible hash (SHA-256) derived from your Apple ID even after you delete your account. The original Apple ID is not stored, and the hash is not linked to request contents or names. For the same purpose, the time and count of free-trial starts are also kept per hash (not to block use, but to notice abnormal usage). Report records are also kept after deletion for safety.
1-4. Crash reports and app settings
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): When the released app terminates abnormally, a crash report (error details, device model and OS version, app version, and an installation ID assigned by Firebase) is sent to Google (Firebase) to fix the problem. Quest contents, names, and your account identifier are not sent.
- Reading app settings: Shortly after launch, the App reads settings kept on our server once (e.g., the minimum version and maintenance notices). No personally identifying information is sent.
2. Data Stored on Your Device (never transmitted)
For convenience, the App stores the following only on your device:
- The quests you create (titles, notes, categories, priority, icon, etc.), their completion/failure records, and the "note of the day"
- App settings (notification display style, whether cleared items are shown, etc.)
- (iOS, if you use home-screen or lock-screen widgets, Live Activities, or Apple Watch) A summary of today's and the next few days' quests, shared on-device between the App, the widgets, and your iPhone and Apple Watch via Apple's "App Group" and "WatchConnectivity" mechanisms. Actions you take on Apple Watch (complete, fail, add a note, add a quest) are passed to the App on your iPhone the same way. All of this happens between your own devices and is never transmitted to a developer server or any external party.
This data is removed from your device when you uninstall the App (on Android, it may be included in the device's own backup to your cloud account — see Section 6).
3. Notifications
Reminders for quest start times use your device's local notification feature. They are scheduled and fired entirely on your device and do not pass through a developer server.
To notify you of requests, stamps, and similar events in the party feature, we use push notifications (Apple APNs and Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging). For this, a device identifier for notifications is stored on the server. You can turn notifications off in the App or in your device settings.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App includes Google's advertising SDK (Google Mobile Ads / AdMob) and may display banner or native ads as a way to keep the App free. While you have a paid plan ("Papakue Pro"), no ads are shown.
- For ad delivery and measurement, Google's ad SDK may collect and use an advertising identifier (Advertising ID / IDFA), IP address (used to estimate the approximate location), advertising data such as the ads shown, diagnostic information such as crash logs and performance data, and device information. These are processed by Google and subject to Google's own policies. They are never linked to the content of your quests or parties.
- Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
How ad partners handle data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- Of the above, interaction information such as ad taps and app launches (product interaction) is used to measure and improve ad effectiveness. Performance data such as launch time and hang rate may be handled by Google in association with your device or advertising identifier (for app functionality, analytics, and ad delivery). None of this is ever linked to the content of your quests.
- The App is configured to serve non-personalized ads only (no tracking for interest-based advertising). The iOS version does not ask for "App Tracking" permission.
- You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads from your device settings (Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads; iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking).
- Your quest content (titles, notes, etc.) and party content are never passed to the ad SDK or used for advertising.
5. Paid Plan (Subscription) and Purchases
- For purchasing, restoring, and managing the paid plan "Papakue Pro" (monthly, auto-renewing, with a free trial for first-time subscribers), we use the service of RevenueCat (USA). RevenueCat receives an identifier of your Papakue account and purchase information (product, period, expiry, whether it is a trial).
- Payment information such as credit card details is handled by Apple; the App and the developer do not receive it.
- The server stores "whether you have a paid plan, its expiry, and the product," used to check whether the other party member has a paid plan and to decide not to show ads. (In a party, if either member has a paid plan, both can use it.)
- Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription automatically. Please cancel it yourself from "Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions" on your iPhone.
6. Backups
The Android version supports the OS's standard Auto Backup feature, which may back up the App's data to your Google account's cloud storage depending on your device settings. This is a standard OS mechanism, not a separate transmission initiated by the App itself. You can change this in your device settings. The App also has a "JSON export" feature that writes your quest data to a file; this file is created and shared only when you explicitly choose to do so — the App never sends it automatically.
7. Third-Party Services, SDKs, and Storage Location
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): ad delivery (Section 4).
- Google Firebase: the server for the party feature (authentication, database, server-side processing, push notifications, crash reports, and "App Check," which prevents connections from unauthorized apps). The database is located in Tokyo. Authentication, push notifications, crash reports, etc. may pass through servers overseas, such as in the USA.
- Sign in with Apple: sign-in for the party feature. App Check uses Apple's device verification (App Attest / DeviceCheck).
- RevenueCat: managing purchases (Section 5).
The features you use on your own (storing quests, notifications, and widget display) are handled entirely by on-device mechanisms (the local database, the OS notification system, and App Groups).
8. Account Deletion and Data Handling
- You can delete your account inside the App, from "Settings" > "Account." Your data (display name, notification identifier, subscription status, etc.) is deleted. Your Sign in with Apple authorization is also revoked at the same time.
- You leave your parties (a party with no members left is deleted together with its requests). Records of requests you sent remain on the other person's side (you appear to them as "なかま," meaning "a companion").
- The abuse-prevention records in Section 1-3 (the hash of your Apple ID and report records) remain after deletion.
- If you do not use the party feature, no data is held on the server, so there is nothing to delete. Data on your device is removed when you uninstall the App.
9. Reporting and Blocking
You can report other party members and requests you receive. Reports are read only by the operator and used to decide on action. If you block someone, they can no longer send you requests or join through an invite code. The other person is not told that you blocked them.
10. Children's Privacy
The features you use on your own do not require account registration or any personally identifying information. Sign-in for the party feature uses an Apple account and follows Apple's terms. We do not collect personal information targeted at any specific age group.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will announce material changes through an app update and on this page.
